To create my front cover and contents page I used Photo shop which was very useful as its tools are very useful when making magazine as they can help it look a lot like the real thing. I think both my contents page and front cover can be improved but they have everything that their supposed to have on them, I think they could be improved as some of the colours do not match and makes it look a bit untidy and also the titles could of been in better positioning and in better font. I also think the photos on the contents page could of been arranged better as it looks a bit like they have been just plonked on there. 

Photo shop was what I used to construct my magazine as it has vital tools needed to create your magazine to the best possible extent such as the lasso tool, the magic wand tool, shapes, text boxes...etc. It was also much needed as with no other program could you go into such a detail such as putting a drop shadow on text or making a shape look its 3D. I used the magic wand tool on my magazine cover to get rid of bits that made it look messy as if you copy and pasted something you might not want the extra bit around it so that it fits in and looks neater on the page. I used the shapes tool to create the background for certain bits of text to show that they are separate to the rest of the page and make certain things stand out more, I used the lasso tool to crop out bits of the photo's I didn't want, I put drop shadows on headings to make them stand out more and look more effective. 

My strengths were being able to use certain tools on Photo shop as without them I wouldn't of been able to make my magazine look half decent although I still think that I can improve these skills with time. Another strength was the photos I took as I think they did what I needed them too they helped emphasize the fact that it was a 'wicked special' or 'stoptober'. My magazine could of been improved overall as it was a bit sketchy in places with the choice of colours for the background and fonts but I think the chosen titles and name of the magazine were very good and some of the photos were quite effective. A weakness of my front end product was some of the placing of pictures as on the contents page a few of them looked a bit out of place and there were probably too many surrounding the wicked special bit on the contents page.
